On June 13, the Mining Association of Canada (MAC) Board of Directors unanimously passed a motion to grant the Towards Sustainable Mining (TSM) Community of Interest (COI) Panel decision-making authority over the TSM program. This means that the globally recognized environmental, social, and governance (ESG) program will now be governed jointly by the MAC Board and the independent TSM COI Panel.

The comprehensive report outlines an ambitious and strategic vision for the future of mass timber in Canada and its potential to transform green construction and drive economic growth across the country.

Wildland fires in Canada are getting worse and becoming more frequent. In fact, according to a new report released by the Canadian Council of Forest Ministers (CCFM), the 2023 Wildland fire season saw approximately 15 million hectares of land burned during the wildland fire season.
